This spring, wedding gown designer Gretchen Dawley reached out to me about an epic project she had in the works. Her goal was to do a cross country road trip with her fiance and host pop-up shops and styled shoots all over the country. While the dresses remain the same, the chance to be able to work with wedding vendors from all around the country creates a unique variety of experiences and images. Her approach to design is story-based and it's so cool to see what a creative team does to tell the story of the Cuban women who've inspired this line.
But the very best part? Gretchen is originally from North Dakota. Therefore, a stop in Fargo was entirely necessary. Not only did she pull together a team of local creatives that blew me away, she also was able to spend parts of the day surrounded by family who got to see her work in action without flying out to LA. It made me extra thankful to be a part of this particular stop on her grand dress tour.
I could talk forever, but I'm dying to share the photos with you all - so let's go!
