My business is not about me.
What I'm building is not about my name and my bank account (even though my student loans might say differently). This business has a purpose bigger than just funding my coffee addiction or paying off debt - this business exists to make a real impact in the world.
On a personal level, my job as a wedding and senior photographer is what allows me to run a nonprofit working with women in the local sex industry. Yet there is more to be done. I know that it's a luxury to be able to make a living as a storyteller and I don't want to take that privilege lightly. Instead, I want to use the skills that I have in both photography and business to support heroes all around the world!
In the past, I've been able to document community development in Rwanda, disaster relief in Haiti, and New American empowerment in Fargo among many other projects. From hosting free mini sessions for foster families in Las Vegas to interviewing homeless individuals at a local shelter, the humanitarian portion of my job is where my heart fully comes alive.
However, I want you to be able to be more involved.
There is so much joy that comes from giving! I've been blessed abundantly by my photography clients - from donations to my own nonprofit to coffee gift cards before I take off on flights - I've been in tears countless times from their generosity. Now, I want it to be a part of every single purchase.
10% of all Liv Photography sessions give back to nonprofits that fight poverty, empower women, and keep kids safe.
You get to use your purchasing power to make a difference in the world! How sweet is that?!
Not only are we going to be donating EVERY single month to a different featured nonprofit, but that nonprofit is also receiving a free small project such as product photos for a giveback brand or event coverage for a local nonprofit fundraiser. They will be featured here on the blog and you will get to learn their story.
In the next few weeks, I'll be sharing lots of different information on my Give Back Model as well as different ways that others can get involved and make a difference. We are in this adventure together and I'm so excited for what's in store!
Take a look at a few of the projects I've worked on - at home and overseas!
