Danielle + Michael

When God stands as witness to the covenant promises of a marriage it becomes more than a merely human agreement. God is not a passive bystander at a wedding ceremony. In effect he says, “I have seen this, I confirm it and I record it in heaven. And I bestow upon this covenant by My presence and My purpose the dignity of being an image of My own covenant with My wife, the church.”
— John Piper

Sometimes, I meet couples that make my heart beam with pride and my excitement for the day is not just in pretty details or ascetics, but in heart and mission. This couple is the real deal. When I first met with them for dinner this spring, we talked about how they were in such prayer for their day and wanted to see people deeply impacted by the ceremony. Their genuineness and sincerity blew me away and left my heart so full.

Plus, Michael and Danielle are so.stinking.cute. C'mon! They are lovely dovey and sweet and totally head over heels crazy about each other. They had spent the last portion of their engagement refraining from kissing, which meant that their first kiss was met by ALL the hooting and hollering.

They are off to start new adventures as newlyweds in Arizona and I know these two are destined for great things every step of the way!
