Nick + Janelle

In all honesty, I kept tearing up while editing these photos. The pure, radiant, selfless, and enduring love that these two share is the sort of thing that can only be described as sacred. It's a holy thing, bound together not just by two amazing, talented, smart, and beautiful people - but it's so much deeper. Nick and Janelle share this abiding love for Jesus that provides them with their satisfaction, joy, peace, hope, and strength. With the overflow of their first love comes their love for each other.

And that is something more beautiful than words can express.

The best thing we can do with our brief lives is to devote ourselves to him and his mission. This is the goal. And marriage can actually help us achieve this goal.
— Francis Chan

This is the coffee shop where these two went on their second date. It was one of those, "let's really get to know each other and get down to the big things in life" sort of dates. The sort of beautiful conversation that leads to a solid foundation to build a life together upon.

Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no; it is an ever-fixed mark,
That looks on tempests, and is never shaken
— Shakespeare
This love of which I speak is slow to lose patience - it looks for a way of being constructive.
Love is not possessive.
Love is not anxious to impress nor does it cherish inflated ideas of its own ideas.
Love has good manners and does not pursue selfish advantage.
Love is not touchy.
Love does not keep account of evil or gloat over the wickedness of other people. On the contrary, it is glad with all good men when truth prevails.
Love knows no limits to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope; it can outlast anything. It is, in fact, the one thing that stands when all else has fallen.
— Elisabeth Elliot

Love is silly.

I love their zest and spirit - they are SO fun.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves
— Philippians 2:3
Janelle, stop laughing. If you keep laughing, you’re gonna start crying.
