There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost.

Photographing dancers is a special treat. Jessica was proof of this.

She was sweet, kind, beautiful, fun loving, and could totally rock a pose. This girl could go from a ravishing straight face to the most beautiful genuine smile in just moments and it was so fun seeing the variety of life coming out of her.

The whole session was playful. Doing leaps on the beach and getting our feet wet, climbing really random structures in fields of head-high wild grass, climbing trees, playing on the playground, and dancing in the studio - it was an adventure.

We ended and everyone was on the verge of tears at how real this whole growing up thing is. How this is a season of first lasts for seniors. This is a season of living new dreams and saying goodbye to some old ones. What a beautiful and bittersweet season it is.
